MANUAL OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that aims to improve health across all body systems by manipulating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework.

A manual osteopath will focus on the joints, muscles, and spine. Treatment aims to positively affect the body's nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.
Manual means that both diagnosis and treatment are carried out with the hands.
Manual Osteopathy is a complementary therapy. It is used alongside conventional treatment to improve health. However, manual osteopaths are also qualified, practitioners. They are specialized in manual osteopathy.

AURICULAR ACUPUNCTURE

German Auricular Medicine is a style of acupuncture that focuses on the removal of chronic
sources of stress on the body. The entire physical, neurological and emotional body is reflected
and can be accessed via acupuncture points on the ear.

Although injury occurs to the body, the perception and experience of pain occurs in the brain.
Injuries, trauma, psychological stress, and chronic inflammatory conditions can create
dysfunctional patterns that are held in the nervous system. These dysfunctional patterns are
blockages to healing and homeostasis. Auricular acupuncture is used to interrupt pain pathways
and send a corrective message. Acupuncture points can to stimulate an analgesic and anti-
inflammatory effect, help regulate emotions, and promote the body’s innate ability to find
balance.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being.   By acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems physical function can be developed, maintained and improved.  Physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented with the use of massage therapy.  Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of optimizing health.

PEMF THERAPY

REFLEXOLOGY

 

During a 60-minute foot reflexology session relaxation techniques and pressure is applied to specific points on the feet which correspond with various organs and areas of the body. Reflexology is a natural way to help bring balance to the body and to help improve or maintain health and wellness. Some of the many benefits of reflexology can include profound relaxation, boosting the immune system, decreased anxiety, improved sleep and pain relief. Many chronic health conditions can benefit from adding reflexology as part of a health management plan.

REIKI

Reiki is a gentle, ancient Japanese healing practice that can encourage the body to come into a state of energetic balance which can promote healing and vitality. Universal life force energy or “Ki” is channeled by the practitioner and then through a series of hand positions held on or hovering over the body this energy is transferred to the client. Reiki has been known to reduce stress, improve sleep, energize the body, and bring it to a harmonious state that allows for optimal functioning mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Gentle, relaxing music can be played to help you relax into the session, essential oils can be diffused and comfortable linens will be provided to keep you cozy. Each Reiki session wraps up with a brief discussion about anything that came up energetically. 60 or 90-minute sessions are available, the 90-minute session allows for extra time to devote to balancing the Chakra system and the male and female energies in the body. 

ENERGY READINGS

PILATES

Using The Method Pilates, the original classical exercises from Joseph Pilates. These sessions cater to many different age groups and abilities of clients. With half the class being Standing Pilates and the other half on the Mat, you will get a total body workout based on the fundamentals  and principles of Pilates.

There is a lot of body awareness and functionality when standing and it helps to increase bone density and balance, a great addition to doing the traditional mat exercises.
